Silent Dragon Yoga is designed to calm the thinking mind and bring mind into connection with the body and the world. Nancy’s training is rooted in Hatha Yoga, but borrows from flow yoga, Iyengar yoga, and myofascial yoga. Each session circles around a theme, such as a chakra energy center, a guiding ethic such as contentment, or a mantra such as A-U-M. Breathing leads into stretches that are followed by yoga postures suitable for most bodies. Nancy gives prompts that enhance the physical experience while weaving the theme through the practice. She offers modifications to accommodate different bodies. Please let her know any issues of shoulders, wrists, knees, etc., that you bring to practice.
