Nancy also teaches Pilates. Pilates is an all-round, gentle way to strengthen core muscles and serves as a great foundation for strength in doing Yoga poses. Nancy always mixes a bit of Pilates into her Yoga for toning—and probably a bit of Yoga into her Pilates for a delicious mix.
Nancy leads various workshops. She has led several Chakra Yoga workshops at Livewell Studio, Corvallis, Or. Participants breathe, move and meditate as they learn about and balance the energies of each chakra. A workshop on yoga and osteoporosis is planned.
Private sessions are available: one-on-one or with small groups (2-4) of friends. Possibilities include gentle, restorative yoga; special work on shoulders, hips, or other areas of need; energetic flow yoga; mix of yoga and pilates; and yoga and meditation.
In the summer, Nancy teaches yoga and pilates at Chautauqua Institute in Chautauqua, New York. All bodies are welcome—beginners and practitioners.
